A native to Nashville, Tara graduated as a licensed Aesthetician starting her career in 2000. She pursued her interest in dermatology where she worked with reputable dermatologists in the Franklin/Brentwood area. Her certifications include IPL, laser hair removal, laser vein therapy, non-ablative laser resurfacing, micro needling RF, HydraFacial, microdermabrasion, and chemical peels. Her ambition and knowledge of aesthetics allowed her the opportunity to open Schaffer Skin in May 2020.

Karen is a proud to be a Nashville native! Her idea of heaven is sitting on the beach (SPF, of course!) with a good book. Her favorite time of the year is football season where she love's cheering for Brentwood Academy on Friday nights, Auburn on Saturdays and Titans on Sundays after church. What Karen loves most about her job is learning about all things skin care and talking to clients and watching the progress their skin makes.
